Terms of Use

Welcome to Plant Swap. By using the app you agree to these terms. Plant Swap is a platform that helps neighbors buy, sell, and swap plants — we host the marketplace, but the deals happen directly between members.

Your account

You need an account to list, buy, or trade. Keep your sign-in secure and give accurate information. You must be at least 18 to sell or trade.

Buying, selling & swapping

• Listings, plants, prices, and trades are between members. Plant Swap isn't the buyer or the seller and doesn't inspect plants.
• Plants are offered as-is. Describe your plants honestly, and meet in a safe, public place for pickups.
• Card payments are processed by Stripe; casual pickups and swaps are settled in person between members.
• When a sale is paid by card through a connected seller, Plant Swap keeps a small platform fee; the rest goes to the seller.
• Follow through on your deals — if you win an auction or agree to a swap, complete it.

Community rules

• No illegal plants, protected or regulated species where prohibited, or anything you don't have the right to sell.
• No harassment, spam, scams, or impersonation.
• Be kind. We can remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Content you post

You keep ownership of your photos and text. By posting, you give Plant Swap permission to display them in the app so people can see your listings and profile.

No warranty & limits

Plant Swap is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any plant, trade, or member, and to the extent allowed by law we aren't liable for disputes or losses between members. Trade responsibly and use good judgment when meeting people.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app grows; continued use means you accept the current version.
